Lookers Kia Newcastle is recruiting for a Kia Accredited Master Technician to join their workshop. You will work alongside experienced technicians, supporting all technicians and apprentices, and carrying out brand-specific mechanical and electrical diagnosis according to manufacturing guidelines.
This role offers excellent career progression, training opportunities including manufacturer accredited schemes and Hybrid & Electric training, and the chance to work on prestigious vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting and guiding all Technicians and Apprentices within the workshop
- Carrying out mechanical and electrical diagnosis using brand-specific diagnostic equipment according to manufacturer guidelines
- Assisting Service and Diagnostic technicians with vehicle engine and electrical diagnosis using computer-based technology
- Liaising with manufacturer technical teams for guidance
- Advising customers or manufacturers on further work needed
- Road testing vehicles to ensure work meets Lookers standards
Qualifications/Experience:
The ideal candidate will be a Kia Accredited Master Technician with NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry brand experience, and a valid UK driving license. You should be self-motivated, supportive of your team, ambitious, diligent, and committed to high standards.
