About us: We are one of the top three automotive retailers in the UK, proudly representing 32 manufacturer brands and selling a huge range of new and used vehicles from over 150 dealerships across the UK and Ireland.
Salary: £33,250 – £37,250 per annum (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30‑17:00 with a 1‑hour lunch break
Contract Type: 6‑month fixed‑term contract
Responsibilities:
- Daily bank reconciliations covering the cash and bank postings during periods of absence within the team
- Processing purchase ledger invoices
- Processing payments
- Daily banking tasks
- Weekly review and analysis of all vehicle and cash sale debt
- Assisting the Dealership Accountant with month‑end related tasks
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in an accountant role and knowledge of Kerridge/ADP or similar systems is required.
- Motor‑trade experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- We also welcome quick learners who are looking to start a career in accounts.
- Desired qualities include excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a positive mental attitude.
