Business Development Executive – Lookers Motor Group Limited

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Salary: £31,000 basic plus bonus

Location: Gateshead, United Kingdom

As a Business Development Executive here at Gateshead you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong and lasting relationships with new and existing customers and achieving sales growth for the customer based in your defined territory.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and build strong relationships with all customers, including regular face‑to‑face visits
  • Retain a full knowledge base of all of our stock, parts, accessories and pricing strategies
  • Utilise product presentations in order to effectively demonstrate our parts / accessories to potential customers
  • Attend weekly 1‑to‑1s with your Centre Manager
  • Maintain accurate customer records using our App
  • Provide the highest level of customer service
  • Identify new opportunities within your territory and maximise results and sales opportunities through advanced preparation and planning

Key Skills Required

  • Real go‑getter with industry knowledge and demonstrable sales experience
  • Automotive product expertise and a good technical understanding of automotive maintenance; previous experience working in an automotive parts department is desirable
  • Natural and confident communicator with an excellent telephone manner; adept at negotiating, persuading and influencing key stakeholders in person and via the phone
  • Commercially astute, results‑driven, confident in using own initiative and planning your own diary
  • Full UK driving licence
