Accounts Assistant

Overview

Join to apply for the Accounts Assistant role at Lookers Motor Group Limited. This is a maternity cover 9 months FTC based at BMW Central, Stoke. Monday to Friday 8.30-5.00. Salary £24,500-£26,250 per annum (DOE).

The BMW Central team is expanding and we’re looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the team. You will report to the manager and have access to in-house training to develop your skills within the Automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Review and reconcile debtors and carry out credit control procedures
• Assist with various monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Cashiering responsibilities (banking, petty cash)
• Assist management teams by resolving accounting queries
• Report discrepancies to the relevant departmental manager
• Liaise with managers regularly to build strong relationships

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in a finance-related role (preferred)
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to reconcile data efficiently
• Attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
• Organised, able to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and improve procedures
• Good communication skills and discretion when handling sensitive information
