Salary: OTE up to £41,230 (Uncapped); £34,000 basic + £3,000 Productivity Bonus + uncapped Time Saved Bonus Scheme (dependent on level)
Hours: 40 hrs, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, 1 of 3 Saturdays 8:30am-12:30pm
Position Summary
Lookers BMW Stafford are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join their fantastic workshop. Working alongside experienced technicians, you will carry out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conduct vehicle services, and carry out any additional repairs. You will report to Lee Tuckett and receive ongoing support. Excellent career progression and training opportunities are offered, including manufacturer accredited schemes and Hybrid & Electric training.
Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle health checks using the latest technology.
- Conduct vehicle services in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and customer requests.
- Carry out any additional repairs when authorised by the customer.
- Perform warranty repairs per the manufacturer’s guidelines and complete relevant write‑ups.
- Take the customer’s vehicle on a road test to ensure all faults are rectified.
- Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will have a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience (brand or non‑brand), and a full and valid UK driving licence. Self‑motivated, team supportive, ambitious, and eager to learn. Ability to maintain highest standards for all vehicles. Previous brand experience is desirable but not essential; brand accreditation training will be provided. Diagnostic, MOT, and EV experience is also desirable but not essential.
