We're looking for a compassionate and resilient Night Support Worker to join our Learning Disabilities Service located in Tower Hamlets. No personal care or experience required, just the right values.

£30,784.00 per annum, working 40 hours per week.

Working with individuals who present challenging behaviours in a learning disability service involves providing person-centred, proactive support that promotes safety, dignity, and quality of life. Staff focus on understanding the reasons behind behaviours, such as communication needs, sensory sensitivities, unmet needs, or changes in health, and use this understanding to reduce distress and prevent escalation.

What you'll do:

  • Deliver person-centred care based on individual PBS plans developed in collaboration with Look Ahead's PBS service and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support our customers to achieve their personal goals, participate in meaningful activities, and engage in their community.
  • Support our customers with personal care, medication and all daily living skills as needed, whilst promoting independence.

What you'll bring:

  • Essential: Experience supporting people with learning disabilities/autism/complex behaviours.
  • Understanding of PBS or willingness to undertake PBS training.
  • Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills.
  • Desirable: NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Prior training in PBS, Maybo, Capable Environments, Active Engagement & Support and/or Reducing Restrictive Practices.
  • Full UK driving licence.
