Overview
As a Biotechnologist at Lonza Slough, you will maintain inoculum cell cultures of mammalian lines in a cGMP environment to support clinical product manufacturing. Responsibilities
- Maintain cell cultures to GMP standards using aseptic techniques with accurate batch records and log books
- Perform cell counting, environmental monitoring, and aseptic activities to uphold quality
- Conduct routine laboratory maintenance including equipment checks, stores management, and cleaning
- Prepare stock solutions and media, followed by aseptic filtration to support research and production
- Stay current with cGMP and safety trainings to ensure compliance and safety
Key requirements
- BSc in Life Sciences, Biotechnology or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Experience in inoculum and/or cell culture is highly desirable with understanding of growth, maintenance and aseptic processing
- Experience in Manufacturing, Production or biotechnology environment advantageous
- Good working knowledge of GMP principles and documentation practices
- Practical laboratory or manufacturing experience with attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety and compliance
