What you will do:- Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Asset Engineering teams across Slough and Cambridge, including both internal engineering teams and external FM Hard Services partners.
- Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, spare parts management, training, and maintenance execution to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant site operations.
- Manage an operational budget in excess of Β£10M, ensuring financial transparency, accurate forecasting, and delivery of cost improvement initiatives.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement to enhance safety, quality, and operational performance while minimizing business interruption.
- Develop and mentor team members to create expertise at all levels, promote open communication and empower decision-making.
- Collaborate with service providers, contractors, procurement, and internal customers to ensure service excellence and regulatory compliance.
- Lead with integrity, accountability, and a commitment to fostering a high-performing engineering culture.
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Maintenance, Reliability or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience leading large, skill-diverse engineering or maintenance teams within a GMP-regulated environment.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, influence, and inspire teams to achieve service excellence and breakthrough performance.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance operational priorities with long-term strategic needs.
- Experience managing significant operational budgets and driving cost and efficiency improvements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization and external partners.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on building capability and delivering sustainable operational improvements.
