We are looking for a Statutory Accounts & Tax Reporting Manager to join our organisation and support the Head of Statutory Accounts & Tax. The role will primarily focus on the preparation of statutory accounts, compliance with local legal requirements, and tax reporting for Lonza entities in the United Kingdom, Spain, Belgium, and the Netherlands, as well as providing support across other jurisdictions as required.

What you will do:
- Independently manage statutory audits and finalise annual financial statements, including IFRS-to-local GAAP reconciliations, ensuring all board approvals and statutory filing deadlines are met. This will be performed in collaboration with external service providers.
- Partner with Country Finance Heads, Boards of Directors, and other key stakeholders to present annual financial statements and ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements, working closely with the Legal department.
- Oversee tax compliance activities, including the timely filing of corporate income tax returns (prepared in collaboration with external providers) and the preparation and reporting of quarterly tax provisions.
- Act as the primary liaison with external service providers, including auditors, tax advisers, banks, and tax authorities.
- Perform additional accounting and compliance responsibilities, including balance sheet reconciliations, banking approvals, and execution of internal controls.
- Support corporate projects such as R&D tax credits, corporate restructurings, dividend repatriations, and financing initiatives.
- Contribute actively as a team member and lead cross-functional projects where appropriate.
What we are looking for:
- Strong experience managing external auditors and coordinating corporate governance processes to ensure the timely completion and filing of statutory financial statements.
- Confidence in presenting financial information to Finance Leadership, Board members, and other senior stakeholders.
- Strong technical knowledge of financial accounting, IFRS, tax accounting, and European tax compliance requirements.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting, with exposure to corporate tax matters, preferably covering the UK, Spain, Belgium, and/or the Netherlands.
- Big Four experience is highly desirable.
- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting or tax qualification.
- Experience with SAP is essential.
- Experience with OneSource Global Trade Compliance (GTC) and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is desirable.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new areas, take ownership of projects, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
