Hybrid Working Policy - 2 days in the office, 3 days WFH
We are looking for a Director, Global Finance Training & Learning to define and drive the global strategy for Finance training and learning across Lonza. Reporting closely into senior Finance leadership, including the Global Head of Corporate Accounting & External Reporting, this role leads the Finance Training Academy, ensuring its effectiveness, governance, and long term impact. The position plays a critical role in strengthening Finance capabilities globally by defining learning standards, concepts, and curricula while actively supporting the vision and strategic priorities of the Finance Leadership Team.

Own and continuously evolve the global Finance learning strategy, including standards, concepts, and curricula, to meet current and future capability needs across all Finance roles and Finance related activities. Drive execution and governance of the learning strategy, ensuring effectiveness, regulatory and financial compliance, and sustainable cultural change toward learning excellence. Define and maintain role based training frameworks, enabling consistent delivery, appropriate training records, and the use of diverse, modern learning methodologies. Monitor, assess, and improve training effectiveness through structured feedback, evaluation metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives. Partner closely with senior management and functional leaders to align learning priorities with business strategy and to identify, engage, and manage qualified trainers and subject matter experts. Collaborate with Global Process Owners to design and deliver training programs that support process implementation, adoption, and ongoing compliance.
What we are looking for:
- Extensive experience in Finance, Learning & Development, Finance transformation, or related roles
- Proven track record of working with senior stakeholders in complex, global, matrixed organizations
- Demonstrated ability to lead and drive change across a global Finance organization
- Strong capability to inspire engagement, adoption, and enthusiasm for training and continuous learning
- Excellent networking, communication, and influencing skills
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate trends and risks impacting Finance capability and business performance
