Role Purpose: The role will support the Head of TAR and external auditors, with key responsibilities including the preparation of statutory accounts, completion and submission of financial surveys, and managing tax compliance activities for several Lonza EMEA entities. We are looking for someone to join the Technical Accounting and Reporting (TAR) Team within our Shared Service Centre in Manchester on a secondment basis to cover for maternity (1 year from March 2026).

What you will do:
- Responsible for the audit and preparation of the annual statutory accounts
- Working with external consultants and supporting with query resolution
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to support audit requests
- Responsible for external tax compliance (with support from an external provider), internal tax accounting done on GTC (Global Tax Centre), and maintaining tax and transfer pricing compliance under the guidance of the Group Tax team.
- Prepare and submit country specific statutory and financial surveys, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
What we are looking for:
- Strong understanding of accounts payable end to end processes and internal controls
- Detailed accounting knowledge – Tax experience is preferable
- Graduate or equivalent qualifications
- Familiarity and competent SAP user
- Self-motivated, innovative and open to learning other functions and participating in projects
