Leveraging your industry expertise and consultative approach, you will hunt for and build long-term relationships with key decision-makers, influence complex development and manufacturing strategies, and position Lonza as the partner of choice throughout the product lifecycle.

With a particular focus on mammalian and drug product service offerings, drug product services, and ADC (Antibody-Drug Conjugate) solutions you will proactively develop and execute a territory strategy, identify high-value opportunities, and lead customer engagement activities from initial contact through to opportunity creation. By effectively communicating Lonza's technical capabilities, innovative technologies, and value proposition, you will support the generation and conversion of clinical development opportunities, contributing directly to the continued growth and success of the business.

If you are a commercially driven life sciences professional who enjoys building strategic partnerships, navigating complex opportunities, and making a meaningful impact on the future of healthcare, we would love to hear from you.

What you will do:

  • Develop and secure new business opportunities by building relationships with prospective customers and identifying strategic partnership opportunities across the region.
  • Create and execute a territory growth plan, identifying commercial opportunities and leading customer engagements from lead qualification through to deal closure.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships across customer organisations, from technical stakeholders to executive leadership, while representing the company at industry conferences and partnering events.
  • Promote the company's technical capabilities, service offerings, and emerging technologies through customer meetings, presentations, and networking activities.
  • Lead commercial discussions and negotiations, supporting contract development and ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for customers and the business.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Technical, Commercial, Finance, Legal, and Proposal Management, to successfully progress and close opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to develop value propositions and strategies that drive market share growth and differentiate the company from competitors.

What we are looking for:

  • Degree educated in a Life Sciences discipline such as Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Extensive commercial and business development experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CDMO industry, with a proven ability to generate and grow strategic customer partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of the drug development lifecycle, including pre-clinical, clinical, manufacturing, and commercialisation stages, with the ability to engage in meaningful scientific and business discussions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders ranging from technical experts to senior executives.
  • Experience managing sales pipelines and customer engagement activities using CRM platforms, ideally Salesforce.com.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
