We are currently searching for a Site Manager who specialises in Earthworks to join a specialist contractor on a project in Milton Keynes. The project is a civil engineering scheme in which this contractor is tasked with the cut & fill, excavation, deep drainage, stabilisation and FRC. Package value: £6m.
As Earthworks Manager you will be responsible for:
- Managing day-to-day earthworks operations, ensuring cut & fill activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements
- Supervising site teams, subcontractors and plant operations, coordinating labour and resources across bulk excavation and remediation works
- Overseeing all earthworks activities, including stripping, excavation, fill placement, capping layers, haul roads and formation preparation
- Monitoring levels, volumes and progress, working closely with Engineers and Surveyors to ensure works meet design tolerances and specifications
- Managing programme and sequencing of works, ensuring efficient movement of materials and utilisation of plant across site
- Ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards, implementing RAMS and maintaining safe working practices around heavy plant.
