We are currently searching for a Buyer for an award winning later living developer who are very busy at present and are looking to add additional talent to their commercial team. As Buyer you will be primarily based in the head office with occasional travel to site.
The Role:
- Managing the procurement of materials and plant across multiple developments, ensuring timely and cost-effective supply.
- Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, securing competitive rates, favourable terms and reliable delivery programmes.
- Placing and managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries and resolving any supply or quality issues.
- Working closely with Commercial and Site teams to align procurement with programme requirements and build schedules.
- Monitoring material budgets and cost movements, identifying savings opportunities and reporting on expenditure.
- Developing and maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring performance, consistency and value for money.
- Maintaining accurate procurement records, including orders, invoices, pricing schedules and supplier databases.
- Supporting bulk buying and group deals, leveraging economies of scale across multiple sites.
