We are currently searching for a Managing Surveyor for a well-established Groundworks, RC Frames, Basements and Civil Engineering specialist contractor operating throughout the South East. This Senior Level role will see the successful applicant join the company's leadership team and commercial manage current projects along with developing the commercial process at company level. Being a driving force behind company growth is also at the forefront of this position and with that, this role will develop into a Directorship within 12 - 24 months.

The Role:

  • Full commercial responsibility for multiple live projects
  • Monthly valuations, applications for payment and client commercial management
  • Cost control, CVRs, forecasting and financial reporting
  • Final accounts and cash flow management
  • Procurement and commercial management of subcontractors
  • Contract administration, change control, variations and claims
  • Pricing and evaluating tenders to win new work, including pre-contract commercial input
  • Commercial input into business performance and reporting

Experience Required:

  • Extensive background in packages such as Groundworks, RC Frames, Basements and Civil Engineering.
  • 5 years of experience as a senior-level Quantity Surveyor managing teams.
  • Experience managing the commercial process from tender enquiry through to final accounts.
