We are currently searching for a Senior Estimator to join a very well established, multifaceted Main Contractor in London. This company has built a solid reputation spanning over 45 years and a vast portfolio of schemes including Cladding & Fire Remediation works, Commercial Refurbishment & Fitout, Listed Building Restoration and Residential Development.

As Senior Estimator you will align with the senior leadership team, securing new tenders and winning work. This role is reportable to the Managing Director.

The Role:

  • Leading the preparation of detailed cost plans, tender submissions and risk assessments across a range of construction projects.
  • Developing robust commercial strategies, identifying value engineering opportunities and managing project risk from pre-construction stage.
  • Engaging and negotiating with specialist subcontractors and supply chain partners to obtain competitive and compliant tender returns.
  • Analysing drawings, specifications and employer's requirements to ensure accurate pricing and risk identification.
  • Contributing to bid strategy and win themes, supporting programme development and delivery planning.
  • Advising senior management on cost, risk and procurement routes to enhance project viability and competitiveness.
  • Reviewing and challenging design proposals to improve buildability, efficiency and cost certainty.
  • Supporting post-tender clarifications, client interviews and handover to the delivery team to ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction to site.

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years working as an Estimator in a main contractor/subcontractor specialising in one of the above niches.
  • Advanced knowledge of Building Safety Regulations.
  • Experience in the above mentioned sectors is essential but applicants don't need to have worked in all of them.
