Permanent: Up to Β£70,000 + Package
We are currently searching for a Quantity Surveyor who has extensive experience commercially managing brickwork packages. This role is with one of the UK's largest and most well-established contractors who have been delivering complex projects for over 30 years. They are going from strength to strength and as a result, are looking to bring in additional commercial talent to the team.
The role:
- Manage budgets, cost control, and profitability for brickwork and masonry packages
- Measure quantities and prepare accurate estimates and tenders
- Procure materials, labour, and subcontractors, negotiating best commercial terms
- Prepare and submit interim valuations and manage cash flow
- Assess and agree subcontractor applications and payments
- Administer contracts (JCT/NEC), including variations and change control
- Identify and manage commercial risks and value engineering opportunities
- Agree final accounts and ensure timely release of retentions
Experience Required:
- Extensive experience managing brickwork packages for contractor operating in a similar niche.
- Drive to progress and step into a senior role relatively quickly.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management or have undertaken a relevant apprenticeship.
