We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable contractor specialising in high-end residential projects, who are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-end residential construction, combined with previous experience working as a Site Manager and genuine hands-on experience on the tools.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and experienced construction professional who understands the build process from the ground up and can confidently manage projects, trades and site teams.
The Role
- Managing high-end residential projects from pre-construction through to completion.
- Taking responsibility for project delivery, programme and quality.
- Managing Site Managers, subcontractors and trades.
- Coordinating multiple trades and construction activities on site.
- Managing project programmes and key milestones.
- Working closely with clients, architects, designers and consultants.
- Managing subcontractors and ensuring works meet required standards.
- Carrying out regular site inspections and progress meetings.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Managing health and safety requirements across projects.
- Monitoring project costs and assisting with commercial management.
- Resolving construction issues and coordinating solutions on site.
About You
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within high-end residential construction.
- Previous experience working as a Site Manager.
- Genuine hands-on experience working on the tools.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and sequencing.
- Experience delivering high-quality refurbishments, extensions or new builds.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
- Confident dealing with clients, architects and professional teams.
- Relevant construction qualifications and SMSTS are desirable.
