We are currently searching for an experienced Contracts Manager to join one of the UK's leading Civil Engineering firms. This company has an international presence and is a household name in the industry with over 30 years in business.

Due to increased workload, we are seeking an individual ideally located in the Essex area who can cover the Essex, East Anglia, Cambridgeshire and Kent areas. Projects will range from infrastructure to RC superstructure works, so the ideal candidate will have exposure to a wide range of projects.

Responsibilities
  • Reportable to the Director, oversee a range of Civil Engineering schemes in the above geographical locations ensuring safe, compliant and profitable delivery.
  • Managing contracts from pre-start through to final account, in line with programme and contractual obligations.
  • Leading project teams, including Site Managers, Engineers and QSs, to drive performance and consistency.
  • Overseeing commercial performance, including budgets, variations, change control and cost recovery.
  • Managing client and subcontractor relationships, resolving contractual and technical issues proactively.
  • Ensuring compliance with HSEQ requirements, method statements, risk assessments and industry standards.
  • Monitoring programme and resources, identifying risks, delays and opportunities for improvement.
  • Contributing to tenders and pre-construction planning, including methodology, sequencing and buildability.
Experience Required
  • 10+ years' experience working as a Project Manager or senior level manager in the Civil Engineering industry.
  • High attention to detail and commercially aware.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants and trades.
  • Highly organised with the ability to oversee project teams on up to 5 projects.
