CNC Turning & Mill/Turn Machine Operator Longvale designs and manufactures process automation instrumentation solutions for the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Nuclear, Military and Rail industries. We are looking for an CNC Turning and Mill/Turn Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will set up and operate CNC turning and mill/turn machines, producing high-precision components to engineering drawings and specifications. The role involves turning, milling, drilling, tapping and boring, as well as tool setting, inspection and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC turning and mill/turn machines. Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T. Set and adjust tooling, workholding and machining parameters. Inspect components using precision measuring equipment. Identify and resolve machining and tooling issues. Complete production and inspection documentation. Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment. Meet production targets while maintaining high-quality standards. Learn new skills and develop within the business. Requirements Previous CNC turning and/or mill/turn experience. Good understanding of machining, tooling, speeds and feeds. Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances. Good inspection and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Positive attitude and willingness to learn and progress. Desirable but Not Essential CNC programming experience. SolidWorks or other CAD experience. Relevant CNC/machining qualifications. Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement.
