BACKGROUND
Sheba Coffee Limited is dedicated to serving the long-term interests of our artisan growers in bringing their coffees to a global audience. Focused on specialty and premium grades, particularly those sourced directly from the Red Sea region, Sheba Coffee offers our partners a fully integrated plant to cup service.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To assist in the daily operations of the warehouse, supporting stock handling, sample preparation, and order fulfilment, while also contributing to basic customer service and sales support activities.
KEY DELIVERABLES
- Assist with the day-to-day running of the warehouse and premises in Acton.
- Support goods intake, stock organisation, packing, and dispatch of coffee products.
- Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently for loading, unloading, and movement of goods.
- Help maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock checks.
- Assist with preparing coffee samples, including basic roasting support and packing.
- Support customer service activities, including order follow-ups and responding to basic queries.
- Help set up cupping sessions and maintain cleanliness and organisation of workspace.
- After training, assist with light machinery operation (vacuum packers, pallet trucks, etc.).
- Provide general support to the sales and marketing team where required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid counterbalance forklift licence (essential).
- Interest in coffee and willingness to build a career in the industry.
- Ability to work in a physical environment (including handling 30kg bags with appropriate equipment).
- Previous warehouse or stock handling experience.
- Basic organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic IT skills (email, spreadsheets, etc.).
- Reliable, flexible, and proactive approach to work.
DESIRABLE
- Experience in coffee-related activities (e.g. cupping, roasting, barista work).
- Customer service or sales experience.
- Experience in packing and shipping goods.
- Interest in marketing or client-facing activities.
