The Role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Company Accountant to take ownership of our financial management. This is a hands-on position responsible for reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and credit control, working closely with project managers and the operations team to support the company’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
- Provide financial analysis and performance insights for management.
- Manage credit control and ensure timely collection of receivables.
- Monitor cash flow and support financial planning.
- Oversee daily financial operations, reconciliations, and supplier payments.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC, VAT, and CIS requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers on cost tracking and profitability.
- Improve systems and controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
About You
- Qualified or part-qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA (or equivalent).
- 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within construction or maintenance.
- Skilled in management reporting, budgeting, and credit control.
- Proficient in Xero / Sage / QuickBooks and Excel.
- Commercially focused, detail-driven, and proactive.
