Mad Swans is looking for a full-time Maintenance Team Leader to join our team. You will be the first person to step into this brand-new role based at our first site: Mad Swans in the Mendips, located in Farrington Gurney near Bristol & Bath.
What we do
We are experts in our field, committed to creating boundary-pushing social spaces that spark meaningful connections through play in nature. This summer, we're opening our first countryside hangout for mavericks and friendship groups. Come for a good time, come for a long time, come for a breath of fresh air.
Social play spanning Padel Tennis, Pickleball, Darts, Shuffleboard and Golf gives guests the chance to explore one game or sample them all. We are all about great food, which is why we've teamed up with experts to create two distinct dining experiences.

What there is to it
The Maintenance Team Leader will oversee the upkeep and functionality of the whole site, including rooms, cabins, restaurants, bar and leisure facilities. This is a very active and hands-on role which may also be physically demanding at times.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all areas.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to maintain a safe environment.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels for maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption and promote eco-friendly measures.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Provide regular and accurate reports to management.
- Work within budget limits and track expenses for projects.
- Responsible for complying with the company policy regarding Health & Safety.
- Report any Health & Safety issues to the Senior Management Team.
- Listen to guest feedback and resolve any issues promptly.
This is a full-time permanent position and will work any five days out of seven. The salary for this role is £30,000/annum. Location: this is an onsite role at Mad Swans in the Mendips.
