Due to ongoing growth, our client, a PE-backed group, is looking to recruit an experienced tax professional to join the finance team. This is a high-impact role where you will help shape tax strategy, manage compliance and risk, and support commercial initiatives with expert tax advice. You will be the main tax advisor for new projects from a tax perspective (e.g., strategic tax planning on potential M&A activity, internal restructures, and related tax implications).
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Group’s tax operations and reporting into the Group Finance Director, with autonomy to manage the tax function.
- Shape and implement the tax strategy for the group while ensuring compliance and mitigating tax risk.
- Provide expert tax advice to support commercial initiatives and business decisions.
- Act as the primary tax lead for new projects, including strategic tax planning for potential M&A activity and internal restructures, and assess related tax implications.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tax Manager or Senior Manager, capable of leading and managing a tax function.
- Experience in UK tax, with practical and relevant UK tax knowledge.
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders and report to the Group Finance Director.
Working Arrangements & Benefits
