This is a super in-house role for an experienced VAT professional to join a growing major corporate. You will help shape tax strategy, strengthen compliance and provide expert VAT / Indirect tax guidance across multiple jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly VAT compliance process for UK and European entities.
- Oversee UK VAT compliance obligations, enhancing governance and strengthening risk management frameworks.
- Dealing with HMRC, managing audits, disclosures, and SAO requirements with confidence.
- Provide specialist indirect tax advice across the business, resolving complex VAT and supply chain challenges.
- Manage tax audits and maintain strong relationships with tax authorities to minimise risk and optimise outcomes.
Location and work pattern
Ideally 2 days in offices.
Qualifications and experience
You will need significant exposure to a range of UK indirect tax matters either gained in a large practice or another industry group and ideally, a good understanding of international VAT issues. Please note that only those applicants who have a legal right to work in the UK and have an appropriate amount of practical relevant UK tax experience will be considered for this role. Additionally, candidates who are already registered with us will be automatically considered for this VAT Manager In House job based in Huddersfield.
