A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Tax to join a UK group operating across a complex and dynamic commercial landscape. Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will take full ownership of the Group tax agenda, shaping strategy, driving transformation and ensuring compliance and efficiency.
This is a leadership role with broad remit across all taxes, including direct, indirect, payroll and transaction taxes and has significant influence at board level. Managing a range of projects including current Pillar 2 implementation, and structuring on all M&A projects, including disposals as well as tax risk management and process improvements.
Manage the relationship with HMRC and other tax authorities and oversee all corporate tax compliance, including tax filings, transfer pricing and statutory reporting. Along with the opportunity to participate in Group Treasury activities.
Ideally an experienced tax leader, or ready to take the step up into a more senior role, you will have the technical depth and commercial acumen to manage complex tax challenges. Extensive experience across corporate tax and broader tax disciplines. Strong technical expertise, ideally gained in a complex group or advisory environment. Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate at board level. Professional qualification (CTA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent) strongly preferred.
