Assistant Tax Manager - Advisory

We’re working closely with an independent chartered accountancy and business advisory firm with a strong reputation for providing commercially focused advice to ambitious businesses across the region. With a large tax team, the firm combines the resources and expertise to support growing businesses with the personal approach you would expect from an independent practice. Its independence means advice is tailored around each client, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. We’re looking for an ambitious Assistant Tax Manager to join a small, highly skilled tax team. The role is predominantly advisory, working closely with senior colleagues and clients across a varied portfolio of SMEs and owner-managed businesses.

Ideally, you’ll be within your first two years of CTA qualification and have a solid grounding in tax compliance. Some advisory experience would be useful, but it’s not essential. What matters is your desire to develop technically and move further into advisory work. You’ll support tax planning projects, identify opportunities within client portfolios, undertake technical research, prepare advice and attend client meetings alongside senior team members. You’ll also work closely with colleagues across the wider firm to deliver joined-up solutions.
