About the role
We have an opening for an enthusiastic team member to join the Longleat Kitchen team at the heart of our diverse range of kitchen outlets providing our guests with delicious and wholesome food that caters to every taste. Unlike many kitchen roles, working hours at Longleat are extremely attractive with no split shifts, no late nights or early mornings, meaning a great work life balance.
This is a fantastic role for someone who wants to gain experience in a kitchen and is looking at working towards a career as a chef.
What will this role entail?
You’ll have the opportunity to be immersed into a variety of different kitchen units. You will be preparing and cooking high quality produced items, ensuring the food production work areas/equipment and utensils are in a clean and orderly condition, and to comply with Health and Safety Legislation.
Key duties will include:
- With all our sandwiches and salads made in house, you could be working in our Central Production Unit, using fresh ingredients to prepare foods to be sold in several outlets across park
- Working in Pizza Piazza restaurant helping to produce freshly prepared and baked pizzas
- You could be in the bakery section assisting with homemade scones and cookies.
- With our central Chameleon Tree restaurant, you could be working on the cook line, cooking
- Carry out basic food preparation duties, temperature checks, food labelling/dating and storage
What will I need to be considered for this vacancy?
- An abundance of enthusiasm and energy

- Be honest, reliable and committed, and enjoy responsibility and exceeding expectations
- Flexible to work extra hours / weekends as required
- No kitchen experience is required and full training will be provided.
Your contract
- This is a seasonal zero hour contract, working variable hours per week.
- Working hours will vary over a 7 day rota basis, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays as required. The earliest start time is 8am, and the latest finish time is 8pm, varying in accordance with opening times.
