The predicted salary is between 26000 - 30000 Β£ per year.
Reporting to the Health, Safety and Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating and promoting compliance with occupational health and safety legislative requirements and company policy and procedures. The role presents a wide and fascinating range of work activities and H&S topics to become involved with. It provides a mix of on site and office-based work with both employee and guest focus.
Key duties will include:
- Respond to queries and support managers and staff across the business to understand legislative requirements and practical ways of implementing such.
- Carry out and document central risk assessments and equipment inspections and progress any recommendations that arise.
- Assist departments with the creation and review of their risk assessments and equipment inspections.
- Log incident reports on the central database and review them for any further required actions, supporting with investigations where required.
- Provide internal H&S training to managers and staff and co-ordinate external training.
What will I need to be considered for this vacancy?
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience as a Safety Officer or similar role
- Good knowledge of core H&S legislation
- Full driving licence
- Experience of conducting site inspections and incident investigation
- Experience of writing and reviewing risk assessments

This is a permanent 40 hour contract, working 5 days out of 7, including weekends, evening and bank holidays as required. The earliest start time is 8am, and the latest finish time is 8pm, varying in accordance with opening times.
