Job Overview

Longfield Community Hospice is looking for a strategic leader to drive our high-value income streams and establish us as the charity of choice across Gloucestershire.

In this pivotal role, you will lead our relationship fundraising programme, cultivating multi-year partnerships with corporates, major donors, trusts, and community groups to secure sustainable income for our vital hospice services

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth: Develop and execute an ambitious three-to-five-year high-value strategy to diversify income and build a sustainable multi-year pipeline.
  • Corporate Partnerships: Pitch for Charity of the Year partnerships, secure sponsorships, and build long-term relationships with regional businesses.
  • Major Donor Cultivation: Build a personalized portfolio journey for high-net-worth individuals, including tailored cultivation plans and hospice visits.
  • Team Leadership: Line manage, coach, and inspire fundraising staff (including Trusts, Legacies, and Community) to foster a culture of innovative relationship fundraising.
  • Exceptional Stewardship: Design creative supporter journeys, impact reports, and donor recognition programmes that maximise retention.
  • Financial & Data Management: Manage budgets, produce accurate monthly income forecasts via Donorfy CRM, and ensure strict compliance with the Fundraising Regulator Code.

About You

  • Proven track record of securing high-value income across corporate partnerships, major donors, or trusts.
  • Experience developing and executing data-driven fundraising strategies and managing pipelines.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing, coaching, and motivating a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to write compelling proposals and pitch confidently to senior stakeholders.
  • Sound financial acumen, including budget setting, KPI monitoring, and forecasting.
  • Deep understanding of CRM systems (ideally Donorfy) and fundraising compliance regulations (GDPR, Code of Fundraising Practice).
  • To have own car and clean driving licence.
  • To have worked recently in the charity sector for more than 3 years.
  • A Degree or equivalent.
  • Relevant professional qualifications and/or experience.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to hit the ground running with proven experience in fundraising or business development within the charity sector.

We’re looking for an organised self-starter with top-notch communication and interpersonal skills who can build and maintain fantastic relationships with our supporters and the fundraising and marketing teams.
