We are seeking a skilled Executive Producer to lead our production efforts from concept to launch. You will play a central role in shaping the future of our studio, overseeing day-to-day production processes and collaborating with the leadership team to bring the game to life. This is a unique opportunity to be a founding team member and take ownership of the entire production pipeline for a major new narrative-driven project.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Production: Manage the production timeline from concept to launch on console and PC, ensuring efficient development at all stages.
- Recruitment & Team Building: Play an active role in recruiting and onboarding key team members, helping to build a talented and cohesive studio team.
- Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with the founding team to steer the project through its lifecycle and ensure smooth development.
- Shape Studio Culture: Help establish a positive, collaborative, and productive studio culture, ensuring alignment on goals and creative vision.
- Manage Scope & Milestones: Oversee the project's scope, backlog, and milestone deliverables, ensuring all key deadlines are met.
- Risk Identification & Problem Solving: Proactively identify risks and take the necessary steps to ensure development stays on track.
- Facilitate Team Communication: Ensure clear, consistent communication across all departments, aligning the team with the project goals.
- Coordinate Contractors & Partners: Manage relationships with contractors and other third-party collaborators to meet milestones.
- Studio Strategy & Long-term Planning: Help develop a broader studio strategy, including fundraising, external partnerships, and long-term growth initiatives.
- Adapt & Evolve: Be flexible and adaptable, comfortable managing uncertainty and evolving priorities as the studio grows.
Requirements
- Senior-Level Experience: Extensive experience in a senior or lead production role within the gaming industry.
- Self-Publishing Expertise: Experience self-publishing a commercial video game on both PC and console platforms.
- Shipped Titles: At least one commercial game shipped on PC and console.
- Familiarity with Processes: Knowledge of localisation, QA, submission, and build processes is essential.
- Leadership & Communication Skills: Strong leadership, project management, and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Agile & Toolset Mastery: Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Favro, Notion, Miro, Google Workspace).
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to multitask, take initiative, and work autonomously to strategise and lead the team to successful delivery.
