Role

The main responsibility of this position is to be fully accountable for the daily operations of the Store alongside the Manager. Your role involves greeting and advising customers, developing the customer base and building loyalty to the brand and its products so as to achieve the targets set by management. You will manage and motivate the team and take over from the store manager in his/her absence.

Responsibilities therefore are, but not limited to:

  • Activities related to the running of the store, customer relations and sales:
  • Being an ambassador for the company;
  • Ensuring that the sales team upholds the company's values;
  • Ensuring that the concession runs smoothly (displays, storage, cleanliness, personal appearance of staff);
  • Ensuring that customers are made to feel welcome and taking on sales duties;
  • Ensuring that salespeople respect the sales process;
  • Ensuring the merchandising and concession is well stocked;
  • Ensuring best possible presentation adhering to the company VM guidelines;
  • Ensuring excellent in-store service whilst selling the Longchamp collection.
  • Activities related to sales leadership and managerial role:
    • Managing and unifying a team of salespeople;
    • Helping to supervise and lead the entire sales team;
    • Analysing and monitoring sales results;
    • Assisting in the implementation of sales targets;
    • Assisting in the implementation of action plans;
    • Passing on skills to teams through coaching;
    • Ensuring effective communication within the team to anticipate conflict;
    • Preparing annual/quarterly evaluations;
    • Helping new employees to settle in.
  • Activities related to administrative management:
    • Helping to organise schedules, taking into account busy periods and staff working times;
    • Opening and closing the store, monitoring cash flow, managing deliveries (checking of delivery notes, handling of anomalies, returns, defective products...);
    • Organising restocks if necessary based on sales;
    • Monitoring after-sales services effectively (identifying repairs, quotes, ...);
    • Controlling stock and helping to conduct annual and rolling stock-takes.
