The Longchamp Maison is a Parisian independent house founded in 1948. Still family owned and managed to this day, the Maison is present across the globe and delivers a Parisian experience to its customers through all our channels. Designing iconic accessories (such as Le Pliage or Roseau bags) as well as ready-to-wear and footwear, our beautifully crafted objects accompany our clients for many years. As part of the Maison Longchamp strategy, and reporting to the UK Managing Director, you are employed as Retail Manager for the UK & Ireland. You will be responsible for guiding and managing the commercial direction of the company’s retail network in the UK & Ireland and ensure its thorough implementation, in agreement with our company’s brand values and image.
Your scope will be to manage retail points of sale (boutiques, outlets and concessions), understood to be an evolving scope: As Retail Manager you are a true brand ambassador inside and outside the company: employees, business partners, contractors.
Key Responsibilities- Team development
- Manage, train and support managers and sales teams increase their skills level and achieve their objectives in collaboration with the Training Manager
- Identify and plan for talents growth within the company
- Motivate sales teams with a strong presence in store
- Share the vision, values, culture, commercial direction and spirit of the Maison
- Fully embrace and pass on the values of the Maison (sincerity, energy, leading by example, benevolence, “not task too big or too small” attitude)
- Provide input on annual sales, capex and staff budgets linked to the area’s strategies together with the Managing Director
- Manage your points of sale network including Boutiques, Concessions and outlets
- Roll out the company’s strategy, with an emphasis on its commercial aspects
- Closely monitor, analyse and report on the performance of your area, including suggestions on sales improvement, both for short (weekly) and long (monthly, yearly) term
- Monitor and analyse the customer service levels in relationship with the brand’s values and regularly include suggestions for improvement
- Be a driving force in clientele management in your points of sale in order to drive loyalty and track and improve ROI of all clienteling actions in collaboration with the Marketing teams
- Be a driving force in the refurbishment and opening of new points of sale
- Stay on top of brand and commercial activity from our competition
- Actively participate in the digital transformation of our points of sale and be a driving force for change
- Ensure staff levels are aligned with business objectives
- Participate in our collection presentations and develop strong interactions with central teams (Buying, Visual Merchandising, HR, Omnichannel, Retail operations).
- Be a key partner for your local HR Manager and Training Manager and Area Manager and drive recruitment, appraisals, training and manage potential HR issues
- Oversee the rotas of the business.
- Omnichannel activities: Support all points of sale in their omnichannel offer, constantly improve and challenge processes and tools for the teams

- Be a key player in our newly developed clienteling systems (app and clienteling activities)
