Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining a visible security presence at entry and exit points to deter theft.
- Monitoring CCTV and carrying out regular site patrols.
- Assisting with the prevention and detection of theft and other security incidents.
- Responding appropriately to security concerns and reporting incidents to management.
- Carrying out Health & Safety walk rounds and reporting any hazards or concerns.
- Providing a professional and approachable presence for customers and colleagues.
- Completing basic administrative duties, incident reports and other relevant paperwork.
We are currently recruiting for a Security Officer to join our team at Longacres. We are looking for a reliable and approachable individual with excellent communication skills, a professional manner and a positive, can-do attitude. The successful candidate will be comfortable working as part of a small team, while also being able to work independently and use their own initiative. This position is offered on a zero-hour contract, providing flexibility with working hours depending on the needs of the business. The successful candidate will need to have a flexible approach to their working hours and be willing to support the team by covering a range of shifts where required, including weekdays, weekends and evenings.
Qualifications & Requirements
- SIA Licence essential
- Smart and presentable with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Good Customer Service skills.
- Good observation skills and attention to detail.
- Able to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Flexible outlook to work, be willing to cover shifts at short notice and be available to work weekdays, weekends and evenings.
- Previous security or retail security experience is desirable.
