We are looking for a driven and self‑motivated Network Operations Centre Analyst for our Calgary team to ensure the operational uptime of the tools used to monitor and manage Long View’s clients’ environments! This is an onsite position based in South Calgary and will require working in shifts and on weekends.
A Day in the Life:
- Respond to incidents such as infrastructure, network or SQL problems, and access requests to various tools like CyberArk and SolarWinds.
- Actively work in monitoring, event and incident management tools like SolarWind – Orion and various other monitoring tools, as well as address incident lifecycle through the use of Service Now.
- Manage server backups and maintenance plans across the client environment.
- Complete approved changes of IT infrastructure within change windows such as patching as outlined by the change calendar.
- Perform physical infrastructure checks regularly and remediate any issues.
- Complete quarterly vulnerability scans and remediate identified issues.
- Provide training and mentoring to team members to ensure that all objectives and commitments are fulfilled in line with expectations, agreements and standards.
- Assist the team lead in managing escalations related to client incidents and inquiries.
- Maintain an application that was built in‑house to assist with day‑to‑day operations of analysts.
What You Bring:
- 2+ years of experience managing complex, multi‑tenant infrastructure tools, on‑premise and cloud‑connected technologies.
- Experience managing IT service management tools, including performance monitoring and ITSM solutions.
- Experience working with and managing incidents, problems, changes and service requests that follow ITIL framework standards.
- Experience with first‑level server technologies (i.e. remoting into servers, implementing patches).
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical and procedural issues.
- Ability to be on‑site at a SE Calgary location.
- Availability to work varying schedules of 4 days on, 3 days off (with every 4‑weeks rotation), for 10‑hour work shifts with rotation of days, evenings and overnights.
