Are you a positive and dynamic people person? Do you have experience recruiting in the IT sector? We are looking for an approachable and upbeat IT Recruiter to be based out of our Calgary branch to manage full cycle recruiting! Reporting to the People Services Manager, you will utilize various sourcing and searching methods including networking and online & social recruiting platforms to fill a variety of open roles.
A Day in the Life:
- Partner with hiring managers and technical teams to gather role requirements and translate them into compelling, accurate job descriptions
- Lead full-cycle recruitment, from intake strategy to offer negotiation, with a focus on high-quality delivery and stakeholder satisfaction
- Source active and passive technical talent through creative strategies, including advanced Boolean searches, LinkedIn Recruiter, talent communities, and niche job boards
- Conduct in-depth initial interviews to assess candidate fit (technical and cultural) and coordinate technical assessments with internal SMEs
- Deliver a high-touch candidate experience that reflects Long View’s values and employer brand
- Act as a trusted advisor to hiring teams, providing market insights, sourcing strategies, and data-driven recommendations
- Maintain accurate and organized candidate records in Lever (ATS), ensuring compliance and transparency at every stage
- Build and nurture diverse talent pipelines for current and future roles, with an eye toward long-term workforce planning
- Represent Long View at virtual and in-person industry events and career fairs, enhancing our talent brand and community presence
What You Bring:
- 3+ years of progressive experience in full-cycle technical recruitment, ideally in an IT consulting, MSP, or similar high-demand technical environment
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with hiring managers to scope roles and build effective job descriptions.
- Proven success sourcing and hiring for a wide range of roles
- Deep knowledge of sourcing tools and techniques, including Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and talent mapping.
- Strong business acumen and ability to understand complex technical service offerings
- Experience with ATS platforms (Lever strongly preferred)
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
- Strategic mindset with a data-informed approach to problem-solving and planning
- Commitment to inclusive hiring practices and fostering a diverse candidate pipeline
