Are you passionate about end user support and want to work for a company that truly cares about their clients? We are looking for an upbeat and proactive Deskside Consultant for our Calgary branch to support our clients on-site in SW and Downtown Calgary! In this role, you will leverage your technical skills and provide an excellent customer experience, while building your experience and growing your career with Long View.
A Day in the Life
- Diagnose and resolve incidents associated with application software and operating systems and determine the source of issues and classify their urgency, impact, and nature.
- Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot and support computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones and other computer and telecommunications equipment.
- Install and support PC, laptop, tablet and mobile hardware and software.
- Image workstations using Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager and deploy workstations.
- Identify and effectively communicate recurring issues and trends and assist with creating efficiencies and processes.
- Participate in hardware and software reviews and recommend purchases with members of your team.
- Maintain inventory of installed software, manage software licensing and create policies and procedures for upgrades.
- Work with hardware and software vendors to assist in remediation of incidents, verify timely product delivery, and ensure that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to end user experience and devices.
- Must be able to travel to different client locations in and around Calgary as required.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of IT support experience, including experience supporting a Microsoft environment in a Service Desk or Desktop Support Role.
- Knowledge of server operations, infrastructure, web interfaces, remote access tools.
- Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Office O365, remote support, PC/printer hardware, VPN, Citrix, Active Directory.
- Ability to identify issues, escalate appropriately and work to resolve them.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
- Post-secondary education in a related field.
