Are you a qualified Primary teacher looking to work in a special school with SEMH students? Long Term Teachers is seeking a passionate and confident teacher to join the school from September in leading a year 3 class for at least terms 1 & 2. The school is situated on the outskirts of Bath and is incredibly proud of the important work they do there. The school looks after a range of special needs & disabilities but is focused around SEMH & ASD. This position would be a full-time teaching post, so would involve planning & marking ideally.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Versatility to teach across a range of different special needs
- Confidence in dealing with challenging behaviour
- Strong classroom management skills
- Positive attitude and passion for teaching
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons following school curriculum
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a conducive learning environment
- Management and development of classroom TA's
- Follow school safeguarding practices to the letter
- Provide feedback and assessment as required
