Have you got experience working with children? I am working with a fabulous 2 form entry Primary School in the BS4 area of Bristol who are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis within a KS2 classroom. This school is part of a large Bristol Trust who are a diverse school, supporting children from all backgrounds and providing the best learning experience for them. They pride themselves on being an inclusive school and building strong relationships with the wider community involved with the pupils' lives.

The Role

As a successful candidate, you will have prior experience working with children, but also be super engaging and supportive. The Head Teacher is looking for someone to work within a KS2 classroom who can support the Class Teacher with whole class learning, supporting small groups and children on a 1 to 1 basis. You will be expected to:

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher, communicating the development and assessment of the child's successes.
  • Have high expectations for the individual to succeed.
  • Create a stimulating and purposeful environment.
  • Support classroom management.
  • Assess children's development and feedback to the class teacher.
