Long-Term Teachers, An Education Recruitment Agency, is seeking an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND in mainstream primary schools across Weston-super-Mare. The role focuses on academic, social and emotional development, with tailored one-to-one support and close collaboration with class teachers and SENCOs.
The Role
This is a full-time opportunity to provide consistency for the children.
Ideal candidates will have SEND/SEMH experience, a patient and empathetic approach, and a commitment to equality and safeguarding. Various short- and long-term placements are available.
You will be expected to:
- Provide dedicated one-to-one support to pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Create a safe, inclusive learning environment
Working with Long-term Teachers:
