A fantastic special school based in the Radstock area is looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the team from September. The school ideally seeks someone full-time but is willing to accept applications from strong part-time candidates. They cater to students aged 4-16 with a range of special needs and disabilities (SLD, MLD, PMLD, ASD, SEMH & Complex Needs). The team is incredibly supportive of new staff members.
The role of HLTA is varied, providing support in various ways: supporting classes as a Teaching Assistant, leading pre-planned lessons when cover is required, and generally providing cover wherever necessary. Due to the complex needs of the students, it is imperative that you have worked with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a school setting, whether this is in a mainstream or special school environment.
