Based in SP1, this is a full-time permanent position within a fantastic multi-academy trust located in Salisbury. The school operates a resource base to support a small number of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a mainstream environment.

About the role: You will work with up to 10 students in the resource base, allowing you to develop rapport with each student and become a positive role model and mentor. A class teacher will plan, deliver, and mark lessons, while you will support with activity preparation and have the opportunity to implement your creative side when devising activities. You will also lead small group interventions and 1:1 sessions, requiring confidence, assertiveness, and patience to manage the environment.
The key needs of the students include learning, social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as challenging behaviour. It is essential that you have previously supported these needs to effectively assess how to provide assistance.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday during term time only, between the hours of 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. The role commences as soon as possible, and you will be employed by the school, contracted to work 38 weeks per year.
