Long-Term teachers are seeking to appoint experienced, caring teaching assistants. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, especially those with special needs, and will assist in providing educational support and care. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students while gaining valuable experience in the field of education. We work alongside a number of mainstream and specialist environments, who are always seeking flexible supply teaching assistants to join their team. You may be asked to work to cover long term and short term sickness as well as busy periods, such as exam season. This role is perfect for university students or anyone wanting to work around family life. Should you wish to progress to a permanent placement within the school, your dedicated consultant can support with this process.
Responsibilities:
- Observe breaktimes, safe play
- Support the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Provide one-on-one assistance to students who require additional help
- Help with classroom management and ensure a safe and nurturing setting
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff members
Skills:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special education needs
- Ability to educate and engage students effectively
- Knowledge of toddler care practices
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus
- Strong communication skills to interact with students, parents, and colleagues
