HLTA Nursery Classroom North Somerset ASAP start
Are you a qualified or experienced Teacher looking to take a step back from teaching but want to stay in a school environment? I am working with a lovely Primary School in the BS41 area of Bristol who are currently looking for a Qualified Teacher or HLTA who would be interested in working as a HLTA in their Nursery Classroom. This Primary School is a small 1 form entry village school who thrive on the impact they have made and continue to make in their community. They work hard to build strong relationships with the pupils and their families, providing an inclusive learning environment for each of them to grow.
The Role
This role is a part-time position (Monday to Thursday) working 8:30 to 3:30. The Head Teacher is looking for a candidate who is either a HLTA or Qualified Teacher who is looking to take a step back and work as a Teaching Assistant with days in which you will be responsible for covering the Class Teacher. You will be joining another member of staff in the Nursery Class, working closely with a maximum of 15 children. You will be planning and delivering group activities around the nursery class, supporting their social, emotional and educational development.
You will be expected to:
- Be confident in assessing children’s development
- Work closely with other members of staff to support young children.
- Build strong relationships with children and families.
- Plan and resource activities inside and outside the classroom.
