I'm working on behalf of a fantastic special school in Wiltshire that is looking for an ASD teacher to join the team from 2nd December in leading a KS3 class of wonderful students. The school has gone through incredibly exciting developments recently, so there has been no better time to join them! The school looks after a very wide range of special needs & disabilities (SLD, Complex Needs, MLD, ASD & SEMH).

The role will be leading a class of 8 KS3 students with complex ASD, where you will be supported by a team of 3 lovely TAs. You will be expected to confidently lead the class as well as prepare your own lessons (minimal marking involved), and there will be adequate PPA time provided. Due to the needs of the students, it is essential that you feel confident working with ASD, preferably complex ASD. QTS is also preferred, but the school is open to applications from strong unqualified teachers (special school experience). This is a great opportunity as this role can either be short term or long-term - up to the candidate.

LTT was founded with the aim of creating a genuine, transparent and straightforward service to help candidates secure their next role. We place a huge emphasis on delivering an exceptional service where you will be supported, listened to and valued throughout. You will have frequent updates on your progress through compliance, applications for specific roles as well as receiving additional information on roles which we feel may be of interest to you. We are proud members of the REC and we have the highest standard of compliance.

In addition, you will receive:

  • Guarantee Pay Scheme opportunities
  • Permanent job roles
  • Support and advice during the clearance and onboarding process
  • Working to Agency Workers Regulations
  • Interview preparation, advice and support
  • Statutory employment rights, such as sick pay, holiday pay, maternity and paternity pay
