This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a Special School, where you will be working with children that have a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities. Experience working with children who have physical disabilities is essential. There are a number of different opportunities within the school, so we are open to applications from candidates with experience across a variety of age groups and special needs.

As a Teaching Assistant, some of the key fields you will be responsible for include (but are not limited to):

  • Participate in activities designed to meet the emotional, physical and learning needs of individual children and groups of children.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and delivery of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
  • Monitor children's responses to learning activities and encourage them throughout.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with individual children and groups to ensure that they are developing.

Your Experience:

It is really important to us that you feel comfortable and confident in your role, so although you may not have everything desirable, there are some essential features our appointee will need to have, including:

  • A nice personality; they are a lovely school that is proud to have a very supportive and happy workforce.
  • Experience of working with SEND children.
  • Good behaviour management skills.
  • Relevant experience of supporting children with emotional, physical or learning needs.

Commencing in September 2024, you will be working full time between the hours of 8:30am - 3:30pm.

We place a huge emphasis on delivering an exceptional service where you will be supported, listened to and valued throughout. Your dedicated consultant will invest time to understand your experience, skill-set and what your ideal role looks like. You will have frequent updates with your progress through compliance, applications for specific roles as well as receiving additional information on roles which we feel may be of interest to you.
