Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are currently looking for Psychology students or graduates who are interested in working with children with additional needs. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in education or child psychology or someone looking to get into that field of work.

The Primary Schools we work closely with are looking for candidates to work closely with SEN children. The Role

This role is for someone who is empathetic, supportive and dedicated. You will be providing support to children on a 1 to 1 basis who have a variety of needs including; ASD, ADHD, PDA, SEMH and physical needs. The successful candidate will be working 8:30 to 3:30 on an ad-hoc, part-time or full-time basis depending on your availability for work.

You will be expected to:

  • Great communication with the Class Teacher.
  • Have high expectations for the pupil.
  • Be adaptable and engaging to support different pupils.
  • Build strong relationships with the pupil and their family.
  • Use your initiative to adapt activities to meet the pupils' needs.
