I am working closely with a Primary School in the BS7 area of Bristol who are currently looking to add to their After School Team. The Head Teacher of the school is looking for someone who is confident in managing challenging behaviour. This school holds high expectations of their children and has built a great reputation within the community, offering support to pupils and their extended families.
After School Play Workers are a fundamental part of the school team. You build strong relationships with all the children who attend the Primary School and expand their learning of the outdoors and the world around them.
The Role
This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience working with children in the past and wants to work with children of all Primary ages. Starting ASAP, Working Monday to Thursday (12:15pm to 6:00pm) until the Christmas Holidays. You will be expected to deliver activities focusing on a variety of subjects and topics, ensuring children of any age can access the learning.
You will be expected to:
- Have experience working with children.
- Be patient, creative and energetic.
- Work closely with other Play Workers to provide a fun and engaging environment for the children.
- Work indoors and outdoors, developing children’s social skills.
