A Junior School in the BS6 area of Bristol is seeking a Teacher to join their enthusiastic team from September 2025. This Outstanding Junior School values everyone's creativity and ideas to bring the best possible education for their pupils. They prioritise children and staff mental health and wellbeing by encouraging respect, creativity, and growth. You will be joining an experienced team who will give generously of their time and expertise to support you.

The Role

If successful, you will be joining a 2 form entry school on a part-time basis (Thursday and Fridays). The Head Teacher is looking for an experienced teacher who is creative and encourages curiosity and critical thinking. Someone who has extensive knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and is able to work collaboratively with another Class Teacher. There are a few SEN children within the classroom, so you will be accountable for the differentiation between lessons to ensure all children are able to access their learning to develop at their own pace.

You will be expected to:

  • Differentiate and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all children.
  • Communicate effectively with other Class Teachers.
  • Work closely with the class Teaching Assistant to provide the best support for SEND children.
  • Have a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
  • Assess children's progress and develop future lessons.
  • Build on pupil's learning gaps by challenging and encouraging their development.
