A lovely Primary School in the BS9 area of Bristol is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic candidate to work as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant within their year 2 class. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for part-time work within a friendly school that is passionate about supporting their staff with professional development and keen to support vulnerable families to build a strong community around the school.
The Role
This position is to start from September in a Primary school in North Bristol. You will be expected to work 1 to 1 with a SEND student in their year 2 class. The Head Teacher is looking for someone who is able to bring a calm and nurturing learning environment to the classroom, where the child can feel safe and comfortable in your care.
You will be expected to:
- Strong positive behaviour management strategies.
- Work collaboratively and communicate well with the Class Teacher.
- Have previous experience working with SEND children.
- Be adaptable with the child’s learning environment.
- Communicate and observe personal and learning development.
